Jesus Christ, the perfect image of Father God, is Good News for a frightened and fractured world. The Roman Cross that killed Him was not the end. His resurrection is our real hope that death does not speak the last word over our lives. By faith in Jesus' death and resurrection, humanity has passed from death into life, from despair to hope.
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor. This is so that you, through his poverty, might become rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9).
Jesus has made us Good News people; those who trust that God is always present and working in us, through us and around us. We know that God's love is most visible when we invite our neighbors and friends to share a meal at our own tables. Experiencing His love is the remedy for every wound, fear, fracture, and sin. It is through our committed love for neighbors and friends, that we can help others know Jesus better. Through Him, God is bringing healing, courage and forgiveness, and He asks us to join Him as well!
This is what it means to be a community of God's Good News people.
