Created For Him

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:16-17

good news people

Jesus Christ, the perfect image of Father God, is Good News for a frightened and fractured world. The Roman Cross that killed Him was not the end. His resurrection is our real hope that death does not speak the last word over our lives.  By faith in Jesus' death and resurrection, humanity has passed from death into life, from despair to hope.

"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor. This is so that you, through his poverty, might become rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Jesus has made us Good News people; those who trust that God is always present and working in us, through us and around us.  We know that God's love is most visible when we invite our neighbors and friends to share a meal at our own tables. Experiencing His love is the remedy for every wound, fear, fracture, and sin. It is through our committed love for neighbors and friends, that we can help others know Jesus better. Through Him, God is bringing healing, courage and forgiveness, and He asks us to join Him as well!

This is what it means to be  a community of God's Good News people.

Our mission

We are passionate about inviting others into real community so that they may experience life change through a relationship with Jesus.

We desire to be a church of grace-filled people, empowered for community transformation and new church formation, so that the Gospel is faithfully transferred from person to person and generation to generation

We accomplish this by building relationships in person and online. We practice  our faith in Jesus publicly through our music and the message of Good News each and every Sunday morning.

Our Community

We are  everyday people who gather in person and online to share life and faith.

Our church is a place where all are welcome; where all may can come as they are.

Our church is a place where all may encounter God through relationship, music, and a message that helps us frame our lives in light of the ancient scriptures found in the Bible.

We are a non-denominational congregation in Akron, Indiana affiliated with the Church of God, Anderson.
